Frontenac Magic.

When I started Hello Frontenac in 2017 I had no great plans for this page. So…. I never thought about having to explain the name. But now it's much bigger than expected and Heritage Hall just gave me a reason to.

The name Hello Frontenac doesn't have any humble or historical background… Or so I thought. I came up with it while driving over Joe Saia overpass. I love Robin Williams and adored his performance in Good Morning, Vietnam. I was thinking ohhhh I could do Good Morning Frontenac, love that vibe but it felt too TV morning show.

So as I was driving my little artist's brain heard on radio a disk jockey voice in my head go…. Hellllooooooo Frontenac. And most decisions I make I said to myself… Why not?! That works. How fun. And went on, and thought nothing of it. Not a thing. I will swear on my great grandma Anna's life. It came from thinking of Robin William's performance that day as I drove over Saia’s overpass.

And I didn't give it another thought…..

Until I was in Heritage Hall today.

As I walked the room glancing in cases looking for cool artifacts to take photos of I noticed this.

Folks. This is of course a coincidence.

Of course.

Obviously.

Logically.

A coincidence that decades and decades ago this little publication existed. That's all. Of course.

But today as I stood alone in Heritage Hall, listening to the sounds of Frontenac's past and surrounded by artifacts from people who loved this town…. It didn't FEEL like a coincidence.

It felt a little bit like Frontenac magic.
